Pompano Beach is a broad, flat community with solid downtown access to shops and restaurants.  The town is also in the midst of a major rejuvenation of the beachfront area, which includes the installation of more wheelchair friendly paths along the waterways.  The Pompano Beach Airpark is a popular destination, and is home to one of the Goodyear Blimps.
