Fairfield offers visitors an escape from the dense urban jungle of nearby Newark.  The city parks have recently upgraded their facilities, making all of the parks more accessible and adding children’s play areas for family visits.  The area also sponsors cruises off the coastline of New England in the summer and fall, a wheelchair friendly opportunity to tour the New England coast.
