1. I am new to renting a wheelchair van. Can you tell me how I rent
one?
The process is simple. We require a valid drivers license, proof
of full coverage insurance (must have Comprehensive, Collision and Liability
that extends to a rental van) and a major credit card. 2.
How many passengers/ wheelchair(s) will the rental minivan hold?
A minivan will hold 4 passengers plus 1 wheelchair or 2 passengers plus
2 wheelchairs (depending on the size of the wheelchairs)
3. Do you offer vehicle delivery and pickup services?
This service varies by location.
4. Do you offer insurance?
At this time the renter must provide vehicle insurance coverage.
5. Can I rent a wheelchair van one-way?
Each location is independently run so there is no one-way service.
6. Do you charge for mileage?
You receive at least 100 miles per day. A mileage charge is incurred after
that point. Some locations may offer other programs.
7. Do you offer a driver?
This is a wheelchair van rental. A licensed driver must be provided by
the renter.
8. Do you offer adaptive driving equipment?
Check with your local AVA member to see if that service is available.
This service varies by location.
9. Can I drive the vehicle out of state?
This service varies by location.
10. Can I have more than 1 driver listed?
Each person wishing to drive must be present at the time the vehicle is
picked up to sign the rental contract and meet the same requirements.
11. How do I secure the wheelchair in the van?
Each van is equipped with a 4 point tie down system and a seatbelt for
the person who uses the wheelchair. This is demonstrated to you when you
pick up the rental van.

This service varies by location.
13. What are your rental rates?

wish to rent.
